~ EYELASH EXTENSION FAQ ~

What is an eyelash extension?
An individual eyelash extension gets attached to your natural lash with hypoallergenic glue. This process must avoid contact to the skin. It should only be connected with your natural lash. There’s a variety of lengths, styles, volumes, and curls you can select from.

We use glue that is used in the medical and cosmetic industry called Butyl Cyanoacrylate. It's a high-quality bonding glue and recommended in the cosmetic industry.

What do I have to do before my lash extension appointment?

Just as you would get ready everyday, please come in with your regular makeup regimen. If you are a new client, please arrive 15 minutes prior to your actual appointment time.

How long does the process take?
Depending on the set you choose, the process can take anywhere from 1-1.5 hours.

My eyelashes are falling out, is this normal?
Yes, this is entirely normal! Your eyelash extensions will fall out with your natural eyelashes. You naturally shed up to 1-5 eyelashes a day per eye based on your hair cycle and your eyelash extensions will shed with your natural lashes.

How long will my extensions last?
It will all depend on how you maintain them, but typically they should last for 4 to 6 weeks, which is the natural growth cycle of eyelashes. Retouch every 2 to 3 weeks to maintain a full look to your lashes.

I got lashes somewhere else and I hate them, can you fix them?
We most definitely can, however we will have to remove whatever you currently have on and give you a brand new set. We cannot apply our lashes to old lashes from elsewhere as it can affect the end result.

What do I do after my eyelash extensions?

  • Do not get your eyelashes wet for the first 24 hours.

  • It is recommended that you avoid excessive steam (i.e. spa, sauna) and full underwater submersion of lash extensions.

  • Do not curl or add mascara to your lashes.

  • ONLY use oil-free makeup remover near your eyes.

  • Proper hygiene is very important. Please keep lashes clean with regular washing.

~ FACIAL FAQ ~

How do I know which type of facial is right for me?

If you’re unsure of which type of facial to get, please let us help you decide. We do a thorough analysis and will advise on what we think is best for your skin.

How do you determine what facial is best for my skin?

Everyone’s skin is different, which is why we ask you a few questions to determine what type of treatment is best. We’ll also ask if you have any allergies or if you’re currently taking any medications that might impact your skin health. So please come ready with that information if you're joining us for the first time.

When we ask you how do you wash your face and what products you use, we’re not judging, we’re just gathering information so we know how best to proceed.

How much time will my facial take?

A full facial will usually take between 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on what needs to be accomplished.  An express facial usually lasts about 30 minutes and includes a shorter routine of cleanse/exfoliate/tone/treat/moisturize.

What should I do before my facial?

  • Avoid any strong at-home facial regiment or exfoliation the week of your appointment.

  • Stay out of the sun and away from tanning for five days before your facial.

  • Know the names of the skin care products you are using at home.

  • If you wear makeup daily, come in with your makeup on, since your esthetician will just remove it all during the cleansing portion of the facial. The cleansing portion of the facial occurs even if you aren't wearing makeup, so arriving with makeup on won't take away any time from the treatment.

  • For men, we ask that you shave the day or evening before your facial.

How often should I get a facial?

Your skin takes about 5 to 7 weeks to go through a full cycle of skin cell growth and exfoliation, which is why we recommend a professional facial at least once a month.

A facial will help keep your skin clean, clear, and toned.

What should I do after my facial?

After you leave our studio, your skin will be luxuriously hydrated. Depending on the type of procedure, some may experience slight redness, but this will quickly fade and instead you’ll notice an improved appearance to your skin.

Your pores have also been opened after steaming and extractions, so it's important to give your skin time to recover. So if possible, we suggest:

  • Drink plenty of water

  • Moisturize

  • Stay out of the sun, if you can.

  • Don't wash your face that night or if you must, avoid hot temperatures directly on your face and use light upward strokes when washing.

  • If possible, avoid makeup as it will clog up your newly cleaned pores.

  • Avoid exfoliating for a few days.
